Short answers about sending, receiving and keeping files safe.
SendThis is a file transfer service for sending large files by link. You upload files or a whole folder, get one link and share it. The person you send to opens it and downloads without being asked to sign in, and neither of you sees an ad. You choose when a link expires, and deleting a transfer stops sharing at once.
Yes, SendThis is free to start and needs no card. The Free plan covers files up to 5 GB, 3 transfers a month, 10 GB of uploads in total and links that last up to 3 days. Plus and Pro add more room and are coming soon.
You need an account to send, but not to receive. Sign in, add your files and share the link. The person you send to opens the link and downloads without signing up or signing in, and they can pick only the files they need.
On the Free plan, each file can be up to 5 GB, with 10 GB of uploads in total. Plus raises the limit to 10 GB per file and Pro to 250 GB per file, with no lifetime upload cap. Plus and Pro are coming soon.
No. SendThis has no ads on any plan, including Free. There are no ads on the page you send from and none on the page the person you send to opens. Their download page shows your message and your files.
When a link expires, it stops accepting downloads. On Plus and Pro, links never have to expire and expired transfers can be recovered. On the Free plan, an expired transfer can’t be recovered, so send a new one.
Yes. Delete a transfer and its link stops working right away, whether or not anyone has downloaded it yet. Copies that were already downloaded stay with the people who downloaded them, so delete early if you sent the wrong file.
It picks up where it left off. Files are sent in chunks, so a dropped connection costs you seconds, not the whole transfer. If the page closes, choose the same files again and the upload carries on from where it stopped.
Yes, on Plus and Pro. A password means only people you share it with can open the link. Password-protected links are not part of the Free plan, and Plus and Pro are coming soon. Until then, short expiry and deleting transfers help you control access.
Yes. When you start a transfer, choose a folder instead of single files and SendThis keeps everything together behind one link. The person you send to sees the files listed and can download only the ones they need.
Yes. The download page lists every file in the transfer, and the person you send to can pick only the files they need instead of downloading everything. There are no ads on the page.
A sendthis.to link is your own address for receiving files, like sendthis.to/yourname. Claim a username for free, share the link once, and anyone can send you files through it. Files are scanned on arrival, and you approve who can send to you.
Yes. Your transfers are kept in one place, and you can search past transfers to find them quickly. From there you can copy a link to share a transfer again, or delete it to stop sharing the files. You need to be signed in to see them.
